Jarrod Behan - L.L.B (Hons)., B.Bus.

Jarrod completed a Bachelor of Laws with Honours at Victoria University in 2005 and additionally a Bachelor of Business (Management). Jarrod is a member of the Criminal Law section of the Law Institute of Victoria.

Jarrod joined Robert Stary Lawyers on 12 April 2010, having previously worked with Slades and Parsons as a Lawyer, and in Para Legal roles with Victoria Legal Aid and Broadmeadows Community Legal Services.

Jarrod has extensive advocacy experience in a wide range of criminal law matters, including pleas and appeals; with almost daily attendance in the Magistrates Court. Jarrod has a particular interest in Homicide, Drink and Drug Driving, and Traffic Offences.

Jarrod's Reflections:

• We should all have access to a transparent system of law and be empowered to be represented against the resources of the state
• At a time of often crisis in people's lives, I seek to provide calm and experienced representation and ensure they have a clear understanding of their rights and the workings of the Criminal System
• The job of a Criminal Lawyer is to give meaning and substance to the concept of "innocent until proven guilty"
